David Horowitz, Stephen Miller‘s mentor, is an extremist and has called negative attention to Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis for his association and cost ALEC Verizon’s sponsorship. He runs FrontPageMag .com and the Horowitz Freedom Center spend around $6m/year on political anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, anti-black, political campaigns. David Horowitz in response to Oprah Winfrey’s CBS “Inside The Memorial To Victims of Lynching” April 2018: “I’m merely exposing the anti-white racism of the lynching project…” The Southern Poverty Law Center on Horowitz: “In 1988, David Horowitz founded the Center for the Study of Popular Culture in Los Angeles to “establish a conservative presence in Hollywood and show how popular culture had become a political battleground.” In 2006, the center was rebranded the David Horowitz Freedom Center (DHFC) and turned its focus toward “the efforts of the radical left and its Islamist allies to destroy American values.” In the 1970s “Horowitz had begun working with the Black Panther Party in Oakland, California, and formed a close relationship with the group’s co-founder, Huey P. Newton. In 1974, Betty Van Patter, Horowitz’s friend and colleague at Ramparts who he brought into the Black Panther movement, was found dead on a San Francisco Bay beach. She had been severely beaten, and Horowitz was convinced members of the Panthers were involved. ‘As a result, David just totally went berserk with regard to the left-liberal community.’”

“According to our extensive analysis, here are the top seven contributors to promoting Islamophobia in our country:
- Donors Capital Fund, Libertarian spinoff of Philanthropy Roundtable with Donors Trust, Founded by Whitney L. Ball, Koch-funded
- Richard Mellon Scaife foundations
- Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation
- Newton D. & Rochelle F. Becker foundations and charitable trust
- Russell Berrie Foundation
- Anchorage Charitable Fund and William Rosenwald Family Fund
- Fairbrook Foundation
And what does this money fund? Well, here’s one of many cases in point: Last July, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich warned a conservative audience at the American Enterprise Institute that the Islamic practice of Sharia was “a mortal threat to the survival of freedom in the United States and in the world as we know it.” Gingrich went on to claim that “Sharia in its natural form has principles and punishments totally abhorrent to the Western world.””
